Get Healthy with Arbonne

30 Days to Healthy Living

Week Two

Day 8

This week we will focus on GUT HEALTH!! In case you haven’t heard, a Healthy Gut is “all the rage these days”!

Your gut’s main function is to digest food, absorb nutrients, and get rid of waste. However, the gut also has an effect on your blood sugar, immune system, and even your mental health. This is because your gut holds over 300 special bacteria that help our bodies run properly. While some of these bacteria can be harmful to your health, many are good and even necessary for a healthy body. Did you know that we have 10 times more bacterial cells in our body than human cells?

Day 8 - What is Gut Health.png

Also known as your “gut microbiome”, these microorganisms can provide numerous health benefits when balanced. Unfortunately, if they’re imbalanced, they can cause all kinds of issues. We will be talking about the connection between gut health and digestion, the immune system, and even your skin this week! Arbonne’s GutHealth Digestion & Microbiome Support is the STAR product in this program for gut health.

Day 9

Many people tend to lump gut health and digestion all together. Gut health is an important part of the digestive system. As food travels through the digestive system, it is continually being broken down by acids, enzymes and bacteria.

Here is where the bacteria in the gut is so important. If you have an abundance of “good bacteria'' - and no issues with your gut, you should experience “normal” bowel function. 1-2 movements per day is ideal but as little as 3 per week is still considered normal.

If gut health is compromised and the digestive system isn’t working properly, you could experience anything from constipation, diarrhea & gas to more serious illnesses such as crohn's, IBS, ulcerative colitis and even food sensitivities.

This is why we focus so much on GUT health with the 30 day. The Gut Health probiotic, prebiotic and digestive enzyme supplement works together with the prebiotic fiber to help maintain a health gut and digestive system.

FUN FACT - Prebiotics are specialized plant fibers. They act like fertilizers that stimulate the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut.

Day 10

Did you know that about 80% of the immune system lives in the gut? In fact certain cells in the lining of the gut spend their lives excreting massive quantities of antibodies into the gut.

The foods we eat affect the diversity and composition of bacteria in the gut, which in turn affects immune cells.

The typical Western diet, which is high in animal proteins, sugar, processed foods and saturated fat, results in less-diverse gut bacteria and promotes inflammation and chronic disorders.

A fiber-rich diet supports the gut microbiome and can help to reduce inflammation. Another reason the prebiotic fiber and gut health are so important to this program and beyond!

Day 11 - Gut Health & Mental Health.png

Day 11

There is increasing evidence linking gut inflammation to several mental illnesses including anxiety and depression, which are prevalent in society today. Probiotics have the ability to restore normal microbial balance, and therefore have a potential role in the treatment and prevention of anxiety and depression. Of course, you should always consult your doctor if you are having any of the above issues.

Day 12

Have you ever noticed when you are eating a bunch of junky food, your skin breaks out? Or, when you are sick your skin doesn’t look so good?

When the gut is not functioning optimally, it can result in issues throughout the body, even to the point of autoimmune disease. The skin is often the first place to show the effects of an unhealthy gut.

A healthy gut will even synthesize extra vitamins and minerals that benefit your skin, such as the B vitamins thiamine and riboflavin!
